The Rumor is true—Consigning at Rumors Has It! is SO EASY!! You will NEVER do a garage sale again.

DO YOU BUY ITEMS FROM ME? Effective January 2008 we buy junior clothing outright all seasons. This is one way to get CASH NOW rather than waiting for the item to sell, but keep in mind, that when we buy outright, we offer prices similar to what you receive at a garage sale. It is our experience that you will make more money consigning rather than selling. 

WHAT ITEMS WILL YOU SELL FOR ME?  We sell all of the following and we specialize in Junior’s clothing. Please remember that your items need to be recent styles— purchased new in the last 2 years is a good guide to use. Please do not be offended if we are unable to accept some of your items. We know what our customers are looking for and we must let that be our guide. We are PICKY, PICKY, PICKY about what we choose. WHEN CAN I BRING ITEMS IN? No appointment is necessary-we accept consignments during all business hours; although it is a good idea to call ahead to make sure Rhonda is working unless you have been approved to do “drop and runs”. 

WHEN AND HOW DO I GET PAID? You may call anytime to check on your balance. You may stop by anytime to pick up your account balance in cash. (If we don’t have enough cash on hand, we will issue a check which can be cashed at the bank next door.)

Checks are mailed by the 5th of the month for any account which has a balance of $25.00 or more at the end of the previous month. Balances less than $25.00 may be picked up in store. Checks for less than $25.00 can be issued and mailed upon request for a $1.00 fee.

If you elect to be paid in store credit, you will receive an extra 10% in store credit—for example, $50.00 account balance becomes $55.00 in store credit.  

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ITEMS THAT DO NOT SELL? Your items are priced and displayed for you on the selling floor for 75 days. Any unsold items are donated to local charities or are placed on clearance with proceeds going to local charities/donations. We donate to charities which give items to the needy free of charge.

If you do not wish to have your unsold items donated, it is your responsibility to call within 3 days after your consignment period ends and we will be glad to pull your unsold items  for you and have them ready for you to pick up. You will need to pick up your unsold items within 7 days after the end of your consignment period. 

WHO PRICES MY ITEMS? We do. We price based on our local market, we do our best to obtain the highest price for you but still keep the items marketable. If you have a particular item which you feel is especially valuable, please let us know and we will attempt to price it accordingly.
